This is one of my favorite smoothies and is more like a treat to me. It is so silky and decadent it reminds me of a silky ice cream. Beets are packed with so much nutrients this may just be one of my favorite smoothies that is so good for you!
- Chia Seeds/ Flax Seeds
- Frozen Berries
- Beet Water
Get whole beets and boil them for about an hour. Make sure to wash them good before putting them in the pot to boil. Once they are done boiling save the water and peel the beets. Choose to put in either chia seeds or flax seeds and make sure to soak them in water for 5 minutes before adding to mixture. Peel the tumeric and add to blender with all other ingredients. Add the saves water that the beets were boiling in to the blender and blend all together. If you want more of a beet forward smoothie add two beets depending on the size. Enjoy!
